Kenya Banks

This directory helps people in Kenya find clear, practical information about banks and other licensed institutions. You can use it to find a branch, look up a phone number or other contact details, and check whether an institution holds a licence. Each entry brings the main information together in one place, so it is easier to read on a phone. You can search by institution or look for a branch in Nairobi or another location.

Licence information is checked against the register published by the Central Bank of Kenya. The register currently lists 47 licensed institutions of all kinds in Kenya. It does not show how many belong to each kind of licence, so this directory does not treat that figure as the number of banks. Check the relevant entry for the status of a particular institution.

The directory also keeps entries for banks that have closed or changed their names. These older entries are kept on purpose because people may still search for a former name, branch or contact. A note on the entry explains when a bank has closed or been renamed, helping you understand why the name may no longer appear as a current institution.
